Palestine Solidarity Rally in Quito, Ecuador

A rally held by a coalition of leftist and indigenous groups in Quito to express solidarity for the suffering and dispossession of Palestinians.

After I went home (taking the camera, it was raining and we didn’t know what was coming) my wife stayed on and the march moved down to the embassy, rushing forward in bursts shouting “In-Ti-Fa-Da Tomamos la embajada” (Intifada – we’ll take the embassy). They seemed intent enough on actually doing this that police fired a few rounds of what we think were rubber bullets to deter them. They don’t fuck around when they protest here.
